How SportyDads works

Open sportydads.com on your phone. One account, three ways in: Continue with Google, Continue with WhatsApp or an email link. They all open the same account.

Type the name the crew knows you by. It goes on every board and poster, so make it the one your mates shout across the court.

Start your own crew or join one with a six-character code. Whoever creates the crew is its admin.

Home lists what you have not done yet, one row per item, with the count at the right. Each row lands on the exact field.

Done is read from what is true, never from a flag: a verified number, a claimed handle, a photo. Once you have done the thing the row leaves on its own.

Not now hides a row for thirty days. It comes back only if the thing is still undone.

The Crew tab holds everyone: who is on the app, who is a placeholder the admin added by name, and the join code with Share on WhatsApp and Copy invite link.

Quick-add the regulars by name so tonight's night can be booked before they sign up. They claim their spot later and their history follows them.

Book the night: the date, then each slot's time, end and court. Add another slot for a second hour or a second court. Consecutive slots on one court read as one range.

Type the venue, then say who paid the court: one line per dad and what he actually paid, the first line the dad the crew pays, + Add a dad who also paid for anyone who paid part at the desk. The court rent is the total, worked out for you.

The next matchday is the hero card on Sessions: the merged slot line, the venue, the countdown, who is in. Every other night is a row.

Tap the faces on the hero card to open the check-in list: In or Out for every dad, Check in everyone at the top. Four in opens the launch.

Launch live court puts two pairs on court and the rest on the bench. Every phone in the crew sees the same score as it changes.

Between rounds the lineup is yours: Swap in brings a resting dad on, the ⋯ on a player sits him out, Add a late arrival folds in whoever just walked in.

The night's page reads the standings, the rounds one by one, the recap and the court rent. The table on the page and the poster come from the same function, row for row.

Share tonight's standings sends the night poster. Share the full tape sends every round on one long poster, two when the night is long.

The rent splits over the dads who were in, by the clock hour, so a late arrival pays for the hours he played. The dad who paid the court leads the list in warm with Paid the court; each other row is one share. A dad who paid more than his share at the desk is owed the difference by the payee: his row reads Covered by what you paid and the line under it says who owes whom.

If others paid part of the court at the desk, the header reads Paid the court: Arjun ₹800, Rohan ₹100, Deepak ₹500 and each contributor's row says what he paid towards it and what is left: he owes the remainder, or he is owed the excess back.

Your row shows Pay with the amount: a link into your UPI app with the payee and the amount filled in. Tapping Pay marks nothing; Mark as paid is your word, and Money in? Yes is the payee's.

Money collects it all: You owe and Owed to you, one line per dad with the total and the oldest night, your ledger by month with Export CSV, and for admins Crew balances with Nudge all.

The Leaderboard is the points table for the season: three for a win, one for turning up. Four windows above it: the season, this month, the last ten, all time.

The Ladder is skill: a rating that moves with who you beat and by how much. New dads sit under Still learning you until ten matches are in.

Duos ranks pairs who play well together, three games together to get ranked; the rest sit under Still finding each other.

Your profile holds your identity, connected accounts, the public card with its live preview, payments and notifications.

Claim a handle and turn Public profile on: sportydads.com/@handle opens your card for anyone, with your season numbers under it while Show my stats is on.

A season is a chapter: the Leaderboard counts it, and it ends with a frozen table, awards and a poster. The admin opens the season's ⋯ to Rename season or End season.

Ending a season is a crew vote. The admin proposes a name for the season and the next; every dad with an account gets Yes or Not yet at the top of Sessions; it passes on a majority and the proposer counts as yes.

Link your number once and the SportyDads number answers commands from your WhatsApp: the table, the ladder, your balance, the split, the vote, your card.

Send help and the reply lists every command. Each reply is a poster or a short text with a link into the app.

Team settings is the admin's page: Require approval to join, the join code and Regenerate, join requests, roles and the roster, the awards the crew counts, the crew logo, the team profile with its currency, the plan card.

The roster is yours to keep tidy. Quick add puts a regular on the boards before he has an account; Merge player folds that placeholder into his account once he signs up, and his nights and matches come with him. Make admin shares the page with a second dad.

Under Awards, each award SportyDads offers is On or Off for this crew. Off means not computed and not shown; End season hands out only the ones left on.

Two more admin tools live where the work is: a cancelled, fee-less night can be removed from Past sessions and restored from Archived, and Money carries Crew balances with Nudge all for every open line in the crew.
